JW Marriott Austin

JW Marriott is 1 of 29 brands in the Marriott International portfolio of hotels. Marriott places the JW Marriott in the “Classic Luxury” space, alongside the Ritz-Carlton and St. Regis brands. JW Marriott is marketed as “Enriching experiences thoughtfully crafted by associates who truly love what they do.”

The JW Marriott Austin, a Marriott Rewards Category 6 property, is located in the heart of Downtown Austin. It is an easy 20 minute drive from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. There is on-site parking for $32 a day. My Lyft fare cost approximately $22 each way.

The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of all downtown businesses, the Texas State Capitol Building, and other State Government buildings. There is an on-site coffee shop serving Starbucks, a lobby bar, and an upscale Italian restaurant.

The staff was incredibly friendly from the moment I stepped in the door. I was originally booked in a normal King Room, but was upgraded to a Corner Room at check-in. The hotel features 4 floors of convention space, an outdoor rooftop pool, and a spa and gym.

I have stayed at several other JW Marriott properties, but this was one of the best. The location is excellent, the rooms are well appointed, and the Lounge is very large. I will definitely look to stay at this hotel again the next time I am in Austin.

JW Marriott is probably my favorite full-service Marriott brand and the JW Marriott Austin did not disappoint.
