About the Hotel: The Courtyard Milwaukee Airport, a Marriott Bonvoy Category 3 hotel, is less than 5 minutes from Milwaukee International Airport. There is a free airport shuttle. It doesn’t run on a scheduled basis, so call the hotel for pickup once you have your bags.
Parking: Parking is free for hotel guests. Park and fly rates are available, but you have to call the hotel directly for rates.
Executive Lounge (Qualified Access Required): Courtyard Hotels do not have an executive lounge. Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elites and higher receive a food or drink voucher, that in 2019 was worth a one-time use of $10.
Other Amenities: There is an on-site gym and indoor pool. The gym has several treadmills, stationary bikes, and other exercise machines, in addition to free weights.
Dining: All Courtyard Hotels feature The Bistro, a standardized restaurant across the brand that offers a limited menu of New American cuisine in the evenings and breakfast options in the morning.
Officer Wayfinder’s Review: There are currently three Marriott properties at the Milwaukee Airport - a Four Points, a Fairfield Inn and Suites, and the Courtyard. I haven’t stayed at the Fairfield, but the Courtyard is MUCH nicer than the Four Points. As a brand, I prefer Courtyard over Fairfield, though it does not include a free breakfast like Fairfield.
I stayed at this property with my daughter and parents before heading to see family in the region, so I used one of my Suite Night Award Requests that I received as a Bonvoy Platinum Elite or higher (my first time doing so). I received a notification five days ahead of my stay that my request went through.
I was incredibly impressed by the friendliness of the staff (this is the Midwest after all). The shuttle driver offered to take all of my luggage (which is a lot when traveling with a three-year-old) while I checked in, and seemed surprised when I tipped him. We got dinner at The Bistro, and the chef came around to each table to ensure everyone was enjoying their meal, even though I had just ordered a simple burger and fries.
The hotel itself seemed relatively new and was in excellent condition. The upgraded room was very large, though be advised that the pullout couch is only a twin bed.
Courtyard is a great brand that is usually economically priced, if you don’t want to pay higher rates at other Marriott properties. I often fly into Milwaukee when visiting family and will definitely look at this property over all other airport hotels and recommend it to anyone looking to stay near the airport.
