ABOUT THE CABIN: The Boeing 737-800 First Class cabin is configured with 16 seats in a 2-2 arrangement.
SEAT WIDTH: 21 inches SEAT PITCH: 38 inches
SOFT PRODUCT: First Class passengers are provided pillows, blankets, and bottled water upon boarding. Complimentary pre-departure beverage service is offered on most flights and includes coffee, alcoholic beverages (beer, wine, and mixed drinks), and non-alcoholic beverages. Flights with long enough stage lengths include complimentary meal service. Snacks are served on all flights. Pre-departure beverage service is generally offered from the front of the cabin to the back. Meal selection is less predictable - sometimes it is offered from the back to front, and sometimes front to back.
HARD PRODUCT: Delta is refurbishing the cabins in the Boeing Sky Interior that features larger overhead bins, LED mood lighting, and upgraded seats. Each seat features a large personal video screen, a 110V power outlet, USB charging port, and adjustable headrest. The tray tables fold out of the seat armrest.
ROW 1: These seats are immediately behind the bulkhead. They have limited room to stretch your legs and no under seat stowage. But, they offer more knee room since no one will recline into you and allow the window seat passenger to exit without making the aisle seat passenger stand up. Be aware there is no under seat stowage and you might not get your preferred meal choice if selection begins at the rear of the cabin.
ROWS 2-4: Standard First Class seats with ample legroom.
SOLO, PREFER WINDOW: Seats 1A or 1B are the best. You can exit your seat without making the passenger next to you get up. Be advised there is limited room to stretch your legs, has no under seat stowage, and you might not get your preferred choice of meal if selection begins at the rear of the cabin.
SOLO, PREFER AISLE: Seats 2B or 2C are the best. Pre-departure beverage service usually begins at the front of the cabin, and you’ll likely get your preferred meal choice, even if selection begins at the rear of the cabin.
WITH COMPANION: Either pair of seats in Row 2 are the best. Pre-departure beverage service usually begins at the front of the cabin, and you’ll likely get your preferred meal choice, even if selection begins at the rear of the cabin.
