Brisbane Marriott Hotel

Marriott is 1 of 29 brands in the Marriott International portfolio of hotels. Marriott International places the Marriott brand in the “Classic Premium” space, alongside the Sheraton, Marriott Vacation Club, and Delta Hotels brands. Marriott is market as “Providing sophisticated spaces and experiences that keep the mind balanced, sharp and inspired.”

The Brisbane Marriott Hotel, a Marriott Rewards Category 4 property, is located on the Brisbane River in the Central Business District. It is a 20 minute drive, or a 35 minute train ride from Brisbane International Airport. Parking is available only through the Valet.

The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of all downtown businesses, and is surrounded by many excellent restaurants and bars. There is an on-site restaurant and bar.

The entire staff was incredibly friendly throughout my stay. I was booked in a normal King Room and did not receive an upgrade, but I did get Lounge access. The hotel was clean and well designed, but the rooms looked slightly dated, at least on my floor.

There is a large gym, located on the same floor as the pool and spa. The pool is open air on two sides, and features a hot tub. Food and drink service from the bar can be ordered directly to the pool area. Drinks come in plastic cups so you can enjoy them in the pool.

I was incredibly happy with my stay at the Brisbane Marriott Hotel and have since recommended it to several people. You can’t beat the location and the views.

The Lounge served hot breakfast and evening hors d’oeuvres and complimentary alcoholic beverages. It was accessible 24 hours a day. The espresso machine was especially useful before my early morning flight.
